HOWELL, NJ — For the third year, dodgeball teams will take aim at each other and in the process, raise funds to help families of children are fighting cancer.

The third annual Nick Vega Dodgeball Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Freehold YMCA. It begins at 3 p.m., organizers said.

The tournament honors the memory of Nicholas Vega, a Howell Township resident who died in the summer of 2013 at the age of 18 after battling bone cancer for more than two years. It raises funds for The Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer, which assists families in need.
