Eat Pancakes, Buy Raffles, Help Group Adopt Seniors

The Adopt-A-Senior Organization visits those in nursing homes who have no family or visitors.

While many seniors have people able to visit and make sure they’re not alone day after day at a nursing home, there are many who have no one.

The Adopt-A-Senior Organization is trying to change that. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to bringing cheer by providing visits as well as birthday and holiday gifts to remind these seniors they have not been forgotten. We have recently paired up with a local nursing facility, Bartley Healthcare to provide personal contact with those seniors who have no visitors.

To help expand the organization’s reach, it is holding a Spring Fling event at the IHOP on Route 9 in Howell on Saturday, May 2 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. In addition to breakfast, there will be raffle baskets and giveaways.
