Farmingdale Community Festival, Car Show Pushed To Sunda4y

The festival and car show at Farmingdale Public School will raise funds for a playground and athletic field at the school.

Farmingdale, NJ — (Updated) Organizers Decided Friday evening to postpone the fifth annual Farmingdale Community Festival Car/Truck Show to Sunday.

"Good evening! Unfortunately, we will be postponing the festival until Sunday October 2, 2016 due to the weather," organizers wrote on Facebook. "Although there is a slight possibility of some showers early, we will go rain or shine on Sunday."

Set up begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, and the event begins at 10 a.m.

Play games, eat, and gawk at amazing cars and trucks at the fifth annual Farmingdale Community Festival Car & Truck Show this weekend in Farmingdale.

The event will be raising funds for a playground and athletic field at the Farmingdale School.

"This is a family event with games, food, music, vendors, huge gift auction, and of course the car and truck show," officials said.

To display a vehicle at the show, registration is $15.

The show is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Farmingdale School, 49 Academy St., Farmingdale. Informatiin is posted on the event's Facebook page.

Vendors are still welcome and will be accepted even Saturday morning provided that there isn't already a vendor with the same items; and all proper paperwork and fees are ready to be collected; and there is room, officials said.

"We will do our best not to turn anyone away," officials said.
