The Chorale at Georgian Court University will have something for everyone to enjoy during their annual spring concert on Saturday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. The performance will be held in the Casino building on GCU’s historic Lakewood campus.
GCU Chorale singers are from the local and regional community and include men and women of all ages who travel from as far away as Princeton, Fair Lawn, and Little Egg Harbor to sing with the group. It also includes vocalists like GCU senior Kerrin McCarthy, and Georgian Court alumnae Karen Mullhall (director), Cynthia Mussinan, Gail Williams, Stephanie Dalton, and Libby Meehan.

- “Laudate Dominum” by Mozart
- “Magnificat” by Pergolisi
- “Neighbors’ Chorus” by Offembach (from a comic opera)
- “Hermosa Ninfas que, en el Rio Metidas,” with words by 16th-century poet Garcilaso de la Vega
- “Nuns’ Chorus” from The Sound of Music by Rogers & Hammerstein
- “Recivete” (in Italian)
- “Nothin’ Gonna Stumble My Feet,” a spiritual
- A medley of Gershwin hits
“We are very excited with the upcoming performance,” says Ms. Mullhall. “From the classical “Magnificat” and Mozart’s “Laudate Dominum” to our hand-clapping Gershwin finale, there will be a great variety that is sure to please.”
GCU Chorale Spring Concert tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $10 for general admission. Tickets are $5 for senior adults and non-GCU students, and there is no charge for GCU staff, faculty, or students with ID.
