The McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL) at Georgian Court University is looking for a few good teachers—teachers who believe that people never stop learning and that there is always an opportunity to grow and know more. The program is accepting proposals from potential instructors who can teach courses during its Spring 2014 and Summer 2014 sessions. The deadline for proposals is Friday, October 25, 2013.
“The MILL program offers classes for the mind, body and soul,” says Alice Velez, GCU director of development and MILL. “Our goal is to have a flexible schedule of classes that represent a broad and balanced range of academic and enrichment topics.”
MILL classes vary each session. For example, Fall 2013 courses include golfing classes at nearby Eagle Ridge in Lakewood as well as a one-day lecture in astrobiology and exoplanets. Other courses are as varied as Ghandi: The Man and the Film, taught by a GCU history professor, or Prayer Is Good Medicine and Cost-Effective Healthy Foods, both led by a holistic health advocate.
