Get Vehicles Off Howell's Roads So Crews Can Plow: Police Chief
Breaking: Vehicles and traffic delay the work; "Use this opportunity to relax," he said.

HOWELL,NJ -- Howell Township residents are being urged to get their vehicles off the roads -- both the moving ones and parked ones -- as crews work to clear the snow.
"Although it looks beautiful out the roads are ugly," Police Chief Andrew J. Kudrick Jr. said in a post on Facebook. "Our DPW crew are out there working on their day off to clear the roads. Please don't call the PD for plowing inquiries. Be patient."
"You can assist however," he said. "First, remove your vehicles from the roadway. Plows cannot clear the road if they have to go around your vehicle. Besides, it's a violation of our local ordinance. Vehicles MUST be removed prior to expected snowfall. Summonses could be issued and your vehicle towed. Don't let it get to that point."

"Second, stay off the roads. If you don't need to go out DONT!! The increase in traffic delays the plows. It also increases the chances of crashes. Our officers are busy enough handling regular calls for service, they don't need to be tied up on additional incidents that could have been prevented," he said.
"Sledding conditions are not ideal at the hill next to the PD. Use this opportunity to relax today. Playoff football is on," Kudrick said. He said he would provide updates later.
