"We've been around since 1927, and our 100 year anniversary is getting close," said Brian Prochnow, a training officer and former fire chief at the station. "Our goal is to put [funds] toward a 100th anniversary celebration and building improvements."
Improvements would include restoring original buildings on the Adelphia property, including the original fire house that is currently used for administrative offices and fitness facilities. The fire company aims to restore the building (built in the 1920s) to its original vintage design.
