Howell Commemorating 15th Anniversary Of 9/11 Attacks

The service will be Friday, officials said.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township residents are invited to join township officials and others at a ceremony commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks, including 2,600 in the Twin Towers. Among them were nearly 400 first responders. Four of those killed were Howell residents.

Howell's service is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Town Hall.
