Howell Extends 2017 Leaf Collection Schedule

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township officials have pushed back the date of the final fall leaf collection, the township announced Monday.

"Due to the warm weather and leaves remaining on the trees, we have pushed back the date of the final leaf collection," officials said.

The last leaf collection pass will start on Monday, Dec. 4. Please place your leaves to the curb no later than Dec. 3.

"After this date we will not be returning to your street once the last pass is made," officials said.

PLEASE ADHERE TO THESE GUIDELINES:

LEAVES ONLY (Mixed piles will not be collected)

• Place leaves at edge of curb (not in the traffic lane)
• DO NOT bag leaves
• Keep piles clear of storm inlets (storm drains) to prevent flooding

BRUSH COLLECTION

• The next brush collection is scheduled for the Spring of 2018
• Please check back with the Department of Public Works closer to the spring season for definitive dates

As a reminder, the Recycling Center (278 Old Tavern Road) accepts leaves and brush year-round, seven days a week; between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. No permits are required to access the center but proof of residency must be provided.
