Howell Reschedules Special Council Meeting On MacKenzie House

The council was set to discuss the longstanding concerns about the historical building.

HOWELL, NJ — A special meeting of the Howell Township Council that was scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday has been postponed because of the storm, township officials announced.

The meeting was scheduled to include a discussion of the MacKenzie House Museum & Library, 427 Lakewood-Farmingdale Road.

The town has been trying to reach a decision on what to do about the building, which houses a great deal of historical artifacts from the area but is in need of significant renovations, for some time, according to a report by CentralJersey.com.
