Inspired by Malala Yousafzai, the young girl from Pakistan who was shot by terrorists for continuing to pursue an education who has become the worldwide face of the fight for the right to an education for girls and women, EduCare seeks to ” discover young women at local, regional and national levels through this platform who have also undergone daunting struggle in their lives but continued marching ahead for education,” according to the foundation’s website.
The hope is that the women will ”become role models for education as well as a potential agent for change. They will not only inspire the current generation of struggling students but also would be a step toward more shared prosperity.”
