Jackson Memorial Cheer Gift Auction to Benefit Team and Community

Jackson Memorial High School cheerleaders will host a gift auction Nov. 21 to benefit the competitive cheer squad.

Jackson Memorial’s Nov. 21 Fundraiser at AMVETS to Help Champion Cheerleaders & Jackson Garden of Hope

JACKSON, N.J. (September 28, 2015) — It’s never too early to experience a little holiday cheer, especially when it involves Jackson Memorial High School’s award-winning cheer squad. The repeat Americheer InterNational champions invite area residents to their 3rd Annual Gift Auction, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 5 p.m. at the local AMVETS post, 1290 Toms River Rd., Jackson. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door; to reserve seating, e-mail coach.kelseyh@gmail.com.

“From local businesses to individuals, the community has been especially supportive of our Jackson Memorial High School cheerleaders, and we hope they will join us at the AMVETS post again this year,” said Kelsey Hoffman, head coach for the JMHS competitive cheer team. “In addition to enjoying a fun evening out with friends, those who join us can put a serious dent in their holiday shopping!”

Up for grabs (so far) are dozens of wide-ranging items from Vera Bradley, Victoria’s Secret, Starbucks, Pandora Charms, Rodan and Fields, Alex and Ani, the NY Mets, Dick’s Sporting Goods, as well gift certificates and services donated by neighborhood businesses such as The Karate Dojo, The White Butterfly, Belmar School of the Arts, Carlo’s Pizza, Jackson Driving School and many, many more.

The fundraiser benefits the JMHS competitive cheer team as they prepare to defend their Americheer InterNational championship title in February 2016, In addition, the JMHS cheer team will donate a portion of the gift auction proceeds to Jackson’s Garden of Hope, a new, public sanctuary where local parents and family members can reflect on the memory of children lost too soon.
