Jackson Premium Outlets Goes 'Mission Pink' with Susan G. Komen to Fight Breast Cancer

'Mission Pink®' events throughout the month of October

Jackson Premium Outlets today announced that it will be participating in a national engagement with Susan G. Komen® to support the fight against breast cancer, engaging employees, retailers and shoppers in ‘Mission Pink®’ events throughout the month of October.

“As an active member in this community, Jackson Premium Outlets provides an ideal backdrop for raising awareness and encouraging support in finding a cure for breast cancer, a disease we know affects many of our employees, retailers and shoppers every year,” said Stephanie L. Weaver, director of marketing and business development for Jackson Premium Outlets.

“We are delighted to be working with the dedicated people at Simon,” said Dr. Judy Salerno, Komen President and CEO. “With one case of breast cancer diagnosed every two minutes in the U.S., programs like Simon’s ‘Mission Pink’ play a key role in bringing our mission to people in communities across the country. The support of Simon and their customers will help us fund research, provide support to women, men and families suffering from breast cancer, and move toward a world with no breast cancer.”

Visitors to Jackson Premium Outlets will notice that the Guest Services booth will be outfitted in pink and staff will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning pink accessories. Other planned activities include:

  • Message of Strength: Provides an opportunity for survivors, supporters and their families to visually articulate what gives them strength during their fight with breast cancer.
  • Photo Saturdays – For a $1 donation, survivors, families and/or friends can take their photo while holding their message of strength. Participant are also encouraged to share their photo via social media.
  • Voucher Program: $10 voucher cards will be available at Guest Services offering 25 percent off one item at all participating retailers. One hundred percent of these donations will benefit Susan G. Komen.
  • Local Programming: On Sunday, 10/4 participants of the Race for the Cure event at Six Flags Great Adventure are invited to show their race bib at Guest Services and receive a complimentary VIP Coupon Book.

On Friday, October 9 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Susan G. Komen representatives from Central and South Jersey will be on-hand to answer questions regarding breast health and provide information about the organization. In addition, the Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will also be on-site in the Food Court parking lot to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. Other special amenities available throughout the month include complimentary mints, Bose pink bracelets and enter-to-win a Samsonite pink yacht tote, all while supplies last.

During October 2015, Simon is proud to support Susan G. Komen through various fundraising initiatives, and along with the help of generous customers, will guarantee a contribution of at least $250,000.
