Madison Beggs Charity Soccer Tourney In Howell Needs Volunteers

The tournament raises funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital and charities that aid families of children fighting cancer.

HOWELL, NJ — The Madison Beggs Kicks 4 Kids charity soccer marathon is Saturday, Sept. 9 and event organizers can use a few more helping hands.

The sixth annual edition of the even includes a full day of fun, including soccer, a gift auction, a 50/50 raffle, games, inflatables, music and food. There will be the Elks Soccer Shoot Out competition and a spike ball tournament.

The event, held at Soldier Memorial Park, is sponsored by the Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer and is held in memory of Madison Beggs, a 12-year-old from Howell who died after a 22-month battle with brain cancer.

The proceeds of this year's event will benefit the Francis Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer and Pediatric Cancer Research at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to the other activities, the Howell Township Police Department will have its Cancer Car at the event. Make a donation of at least $20 and you can sign your name on the car that's painted in multiple colors to represent various types of cancer.
