Narcotics, Pounds of Marijuana Seized In Howell Home
Homeowner Kevin Gallagher was charged with possession and intent to distribute the illicit substances, according to police.
HOWELL, NJ – Officers from the Howell Township Police Department found scores of narcotics bottles, pounds of marijuana and suspected cocaine in a Howell townhouse during a property search on July 14. Homeowner Kevin Gallagher, 42, was arrested in connection with the seizure, according to the police department.
After receiving a complaint regarding possible illicit drug activity at the location, officers from the Howell Police Department Crime Suppression Unit (Street Crimes) began surveillance of the Wood Duck Court property and observed activities consistent with the complaint.
A search warrant was authorized after the arrest of a subject who previously left the residence. The warrant was executed at approximately 2 p.m. on July 14. As a result, Gallagher was located and arrested without incident.

Detectives located and seized various illicit substances prepared for sale, including suspected cocaine, over two pounds of marijuana, over 100 marijuana vape devices and about 200 narcotic prescription medications. Approximately $1,200 in cash tied to previous sales was also found at the scene.
Following the search, Gallagher was brought to the police station and charged with five counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gallagher was released from the station after being charged and is pending a court hearing.
“Howell Township Police Department has and will remain strategically focused on ensuring that the quality of life our residents have come to expect will be preserved,” the police department wrote in a statement posted to social media.
“This investigation serves as a stark reminder to would-be offenders that our mission of being committed to community also encompasses being committed to apprehending those who threaten the harmony within. We thank our residents who are our partners in this endeavor.”
