Parents Accused Of Attacking Refs At Howell High School Hockey Game: Report
An incident right before the game ended knocked one player unconscious, according to the report.

HOWELL, NJ -- Two referees allegedly were attacked by parents after a Howell High School ice hockey game on Sunday morning, according to a report.
The Asbury Park Press reported the incident occurred after a heated game between teams from Howell and Manalapan high schools at Howell Ice World. The report said parents went into the referees’ locker room after the game ended and attacked two referees, one of whom was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Press report said the game ended in a tie after a Manalapan player hit the side of the rink headfirst after a Howell player delivered a hit. The Manalapan player was knocked unconscious, according to the report.
