Property Assessment Inspections In Howell Coming Soon
Inspections of properties are done every five years, with 20 percent of the town's properties included each year, Howell officials said.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township properties will be inspected in the coming weeks as part of a required update to property information, Howell Township officials said Wednesday.
The township has hired Realty Data Systems "to perform an exterior and interior inspection of properties for the assessor’s records," the township said in a post on its Facebook page. "This program requires a 5-year inspection cycle, and will require that all properties are inspected once during this cycle."
Twenty percent of the properties in the township are included in the inspections each year. The inspections will take place over the coming weeks, the notice said.

Where residents are not home at the time of the inspection visit, the exterior of the house will be inspected, "and instructions will be left for rescheduling an interior inspection," the post said.
If an interior inspection is not completed, "the Tax Assessor office may be forced to estimate all interior information. Please be advised this may result in an error on your property record card."
