Gift Auction to Benefit Jackson Memorial Cheer

JACKSON, NJ—Looking to get a jump on your holiday shopping? Searching for something unique for a special neighbor, teacher or friend? The Jackson Memorial High School Cheer Gift Auction fundraiser, slated for Saturday, Nov. 15 at the local AMVETS post, 1290 Toms River Rd., is the perfect opportunity to get going. Doors open at 5 p.m. and tickets, which cover coffee, tea and dessert, are only $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

The gift auction comes just before the holiday rush, giving supporters a chance to have fun, mingle with community friends and possibly take home an assortment of cool gifts. Up for grabs (so far) are dozens of wide-ranging items from Coach, American Express, Pampered Chef, Vera Wang, and Calvin Klein to gift cards and products donated by neighborhood businesses such as J&R Landscaping, Serenity Salon, Shoprite, Carlo’s Pizza, Jackson Driving School and many, many more.

Proceeds benefit the Jackson Memorial High School Cheer squad, which is working to defend their title as 2014 Americheer Internationals Large Varsity Division Champs. The team took top honors in March and the 2014-15 squad is set for a repeat performance. Gift auction funds will help offset competition and travel expenses when the team heads to Orlando in early 2015.
