The Jackson Branch will host local author Ruth Melon as she discusses her book “Journey to the White Rose in Germany”. The White Rose movement was made up of a small group of students who attended Munich University in Germany during World War II. Members of this movement clandestinely distributed anti-Nazi and anti-war leaflets between June of 1942 and February 1943. Some of its members eventually paid a terrible price for their stand against the brutal Nazi regime.
This event will take place at the Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 @ 2:00pm. This program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. To register, please call (732) 928-4400, Option 4 or visit www.theoceancountylibrary.org; Events and News, Calendar of Events; Jackson Branch.
