Youth Flashed Underwear At Howell Resident During Mischief Call, Police Say

Howell police said the resident had confronted a group of kids who allegedly were throwing rocks and breaking glass near Newbury School.

HOWELL, NJ — A youth flashed their underwear at a resident after a group of youths were throwing rocks and breaking glass in the area, Howell police said.

Howell police did not say when the incident happened, but referenced a Facebook post by Garden State News Network that claimed "an unclothed child" was found in the woods behind a home near Newbury School.

In a post on the department's Facebook page late Sunday evening, Howell Detective Sgt. John Barroqueiro said police were called to the area of the school because of youths who were throwing rocks and breaking glass.

"When the caller confronted the juveniles one of them pulled down their pants exposing their underwear only to the caller," Barroqueiro said.

Police officers tried to find the youths when they responded to the call but the youths had taken off, he said.
