• NJ State Board of Education names 2026-27 leadership team (courierpostonline.com) — An Irvington-based retired educator, Mary Bennett, has been chosen as vice president of the New Jersey State Board of Education for the 2026-27 school year, giving the town a direct voice in statewide policy. She’ll serve alongside board president Kathy Goldenberg as they help guide regulations and decisions affecting 1.4 million public school students across New Jersey.
