• Fenton pitches gem as Metuchen defeats Iselin Kennedy (nj.com subscription) — Iselin residents following local high school sports will note that Iselin Kennedy’s baseball team fell 12-0 to Metuchen in a GMC matchup in Metuchen. Metuchen’s James Fenton threw a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts over five innings. Kennedy managed just one hit, a third-inning single by Grant Lorentzen, before the mercy rule ended the game.
