• Hellfest NJ Faces New Venue Uncertainty After Maggie's Fairgrounds Denies Hosting Festival (themosh.net) — A major hardcore and metal festival originally planned for Adventure Crossing in Jackson has already been moved once and is now facing fresh venue uncertainty less than two weeks before its July 3–5 dates. Maggie’s Fairgrounds in Lakewood now says it will not host Hellfest NJ, leaving fans and local ticket-holders unsure where, or if, the three-day event will happen.
   

• N.J. headstone fraud: Pa. man pleads guilty to defrauding nearly 500 families (nj.com subscription) — Families in Jackson are among nearly 500 victims of a multistate headstone fraud scheme, where a Pennsylvania businessman took payments but often never delivered memorials. Prosecutors say he collected over $1.5 million, targeted grieving families through obituaries, and now faces a potential decades-long federal prison sentence after pleading guilty.
