4 Seats Open on County College of Morris Board of Trustees

Resumes must be submitted by Sept. 6.

A recent resignation along with the completion of current terms has lead to the County College of Morris having four open seats on its board of trustees.

The terms of three sitting members are coming to an end, and Trustee William Schievella (Morris County Undersheriff) recently resigned.

Schievella’s term has two years remaining.

Anyone interested in applying for a seat must submit an application by Sept. 6. Applicants must be able to demonstrate independent judgment, distinction in their profession, knowledge of higher education, and a “firm commitment to serving the college,” the Morris County Freeholders announced.

Those serving on the board must commit approximately 15-20 hours each month to his or her duties.

Applicants have been asked to send eight copies of their resume with brief background statement to the Office of the Morris County Counsel, County of Morris, P.O. Box 900, Morristown, NJ 07963.

Terms last four years and there are 11 seats on the board.
