Isabella Bartkowiak, a 9-year-old resident of Denville, made a newborn hat as her first knitting project, using only tutorials online to learn how to complete the design.  Isabella and her two siblings were all born at Saint Clare’s, and she requested to donate the pink hat to a newborn at the Katena Center for Mother and Child at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville.  On February 25, Isabella presented her knitted pink hat to Malia Uhimwen, who was born on February 23.
