White Rock School Gets New Basketball Backboards

Rebound! It's a word we often hear coming from the All Purpose Gym at White Rock School. Basketball, a favorite sport of many of the students coming through our elementary schools, is a game played with a lot of passion, heart and hard work.  These qualities are some of the same that many of our past PTA, JBA and Community members used while donating countless hours voulnteering to better our district.  Keeping in that tradition, The Milton Tri-School PTA is pleased to announce the purchase of brand new state-of-the-art basketball backboards for White Rock School. With contributions from the Jefferson Basketball Association and the assistance of Dr. Michael Valenti, principal, this PTA undertaking came together in a matter of a few short months.

In recent years our PTA and community as a whole has lost many of our supporters and friends to untimely deaths. We all can recall as we read the local papers the names of mothers, fathers, siblings, teachers and so many more who are no longer with us. Whether it was a tragic car accident, untimely death or long-term illness, we have sadly lost too many. As organizations that serve many of the students in town, we wanted to do something for the school system in memory of the loved ones that so many of us have lost.

In memory of those that contributed so generously over the years, we donate the new backboards to all the students who use them for years to come.  Enjoy your sport, your teammates, coaches and fans and know that many past and present PTA, JBA and Community members as a whole, cheer you on come game time.
