Burglary, Theft Top Jefferson Police Blotter
Three thefts were reported between Jan. 20 and Jan. 24.

JEFFERSON, NJ— Theft and burglaries were just two crimes reported in Jefferson between Jan. 20 and Jan. 30, 2017.
- Jan. 20: Unknown actors entered 2761 Rt.23 South and removed copper piping and space heaters. Under investigation by the Detective Bureau.
- Jan. 23: Schwarz Blvd., victim reports unlocked vehicle was entered during the night. Detective Bureau investigating the incident.
- Jan. 24: Berkshire Valley Road. Victim reports an unknown subject entered his residence and trailer removing over $5000 worth of tools. Detective Bureau investigating the incident.
- Jan. 25: Victim reported a fraudulent incident. The victim received a telephone call from their bank advising of two possible fraudulent withdrawals made in another state. This incident is under investigation.
- Jan. 30: Louis Pessoiano, 24 of Lake Hopatcong was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Berkshire Valley Road and Chamberlain. Mr. Pessoiano was found in possession of heroin. Processed and released per bail reform.
- Jan. 31: Motor Vehicle Crash rollover on Holland Mt Rd. The investigation revealed, the driver Ashley Quist, 31 of Stockholm was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Ms. Quist was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.
