Two cars were burglarized during the first half of January.

JEFFERSON, NJ— Car burgularies and a Craigslist scam were just two crimes reported in Jefferson duirng the first half of January.

Jan 4: Victim reports someone removed her iPod from her car either at Heather Hills Drive or in front of Brigg’s School

Jan. 4: Unknown actor entered victim’s vehicle and took his Amazon Kindle @ 2 Sleepy Hollow Dr.

Jan. 9: Report of a victim of a phone call and fraudulent check scheme. Funds lost totaled approximately $45,000.

Jan. 9: Report of a victim of a Craigslist scheme. Victim sent a total of $1,600 to a subject reportedly attempting to rent her a house.

Jan. 9: Unknown subject(s) used victim’s Verizon account to purchase Cell Phones from Apple.

Jan. 11: Actor Ryan Tajerian from Clifton ran from Officer McGowan after realizing he had a no bail warrant for his arrest. Following a brief foot chase he was apprehended. Individual turned over to MCSO. Charges pending.

Jan. 13: Jarred Scheidecker was arrested by Roxbury P.D. for a $1,000 J-Town warrant. Committed to MCCF in default.

Jan. 14: Driver failed to negotiate snow covered Cozy Lake Road and crashed vehicle into a utility pole by Princess Lane causing a wide spread power outage for over four hours.
