Car Catches Fire When Drunk Strip Club Patron Falls Asleep at Wheel, Report Says

A Jefferson Township man escaped injury after falling asleep with his foot on the gas pedal of his car outside a strip club Sunday night.

According to nj.com, Michael Dinorcia, 37, had just left Club 15 Gentlemen’s Club on Rt. 15 in Lake Hopatcong, got into his car and rather than driving away, fell asleep with his foot on the accelerator.

This caused the engine to spark, the report said, creating a “well-involved” vehicle fire. The fire did not spread to the establishment, the report said.

Dinorcia was charged with driving while intoxicated.
