Classical Hatha Yoga-Mixed Level Class

Discover Jefferson Township’s New Yoga Programs

The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is pleased to introduce two new adult yoga programs to be run this fall. Sessions will be held in the cafeteria of the Jefferson Township High School, 1010 Weldon Road, Milton/Oak Ridge, NJ; and students enrolled in either class will be instructed in one of the oldest styles of yoga -- the Hatha style by certified instructor Linda Mangan.

New to yoga? Jumpstart your practice in a basic beginner class to learn yoga postures, principles of safe alignment, yoga philosophy, and breathing techniques.  While doing these gentle Hatha poses, you’ll naturally increase flexibility, release tension, and build mental clarity.  Open to new beginners, those with limited yoga experience, those recovering from an injury, or anyone just wanting to take it slow and steady.  This Beginner Yoga Class will run for six sessions on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 pm beginning November 2 and ending on December 21 (there will be no classes on Wednesdays, November 23 – the night before Thanksgiving or November 30 as the school facilities are not available.  The cost will be $21 per person.
