Travel with Jefferson Rec to experience Pompeii!

The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is offering the public the unique opportunity to view a fascinating exhibit  - Pompeii the Exhibit at the Exhibition at the Discovery Times Square Exposition Center in New York City on Thursday, July 21.  

Experience Pompeii before and after the epic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius 2,000 years ago.  View more than 250 authentic artifacts unearthed since that historic event.  Witness the life and death of those frozen in time by ash, featuring the largest collection of body casts ever presented.

All reservations include admission at 11 AM, transportation by deluxe motor coach, and driver gratuity.   Adult tickets are $39 per person, Senior Citizen tickets (65+) are $36 per person, and Youth tickets (5-12 years of age) are $33 per person.   A responsible adult must accompany all children under the age of 18.

The buses will depart from the Jefferson Township Middle School located at 1000 Weldon Road in Milton/Oak Ridge at 9 AM sharp and depart from the theater at 5 PM.   You will still have some spare time to explore New York City and/or get a bite to eat.

In-person payments and telephone credit card reservations will be immediately confirmed at the Jefferson Township Recreation Department office located at 81 Weldon Road in Lake Hopatcong at Camp Jefferson - Mondays through Thursdays between 9 AM and 4:30 PM, and Fridays from 8 AM to 3:30 PM.  Reservations made by mail with a personal check or money order are subject to availability, and tickets will not be sent through the mail.  All checks should be made payable to the Township of Jefferson, and there are no refunds unless your ticket can be resold.  In addition, MasterCard and Discover credit cards will be accepted by phone or in person, but a 2.45% surcharge will be added on to cover bank processing fees.
