The Jefferson Community Players will hold an open house and casting for their fall and winter productions on September 25 and October 2 from 2 to 5 PM and September 26 and October 3 from 7 to 9:30 PM at the Jefferson Senior Center, 54 Schoolhouse Road.
Men and women from ages 18 and up are invited to be cast in a variety of productions, including one act plays, a full length play, an April 2012 musical variety program with the Jefferson Community Band and Chorus, a mystery dinner theatre event and a Christmas holiday production. Productions will be described in detail at the open casting sessions. There are roles suitable for all ages and levels of experience. Persons interested in directing are also invited to attend our open house. Residency in Jefferson Township is not required and membership in the Players is free.

Productions in the planning stages include a November 5 performance for the Jefferson Library of "Kings and Queens", a selection of dramatic and comedic scenes from famous stage works. Under consideration for our December 10 and 11 Christmas holiday show are an adaptation of "Heidi" and an abridged version of "Miracle on 34th Street". Both holiday productions require an actress age 10-12 and one actress age 14-16.
