!!!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS !!!!!
The Recreation Department has decided that this snow is too good to waste. So, they are hosting "RANDOM RECREATION" at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ, this Saturday, January 29th, 2011 from 10 am until 2 pm. This will be a fun family event giving residents a chance to simply come out and play in the snow! Come see how fun it really is to sleigh ride at the camp! Build your own snowman! Hey… Why not all build a family of snowmen? Or an igloo to hide in?

Random recreation ideas for Saturday, January 29th's event: Sleigh riding (at the hill by the Pavilion, to the left of Community Lodge), snow building, hiking on the new trails, maybe a little snow tag, and those of you who enjoy cross country skiing are sure to find a flat spot here somewhere!
A couple of things you should know... All children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult, adult volunteers are welcomed, no downhill skiing or snowboarding, bring your own sleds, helmets are encouraged, bring your own snow-building tools or just some good gloves, dress appropriately … after all this is an outdoor event. Don't come unless you bring a smile!!!

The Rec Dept plans to be here even if it is snowing: however, if the roads are too bad to travel, then they will be here on Sunday, January 30 instead… same time, same place. Contact Jefferson Township Recreation Director Grace C. Rhinesmith if you are uncertain about a weather cancellation at 201-317-9807.
