Falcons Post Shutout Win, Head to Semifinals
Jefferson High School softball team just one win away from playing for group title.

A late spring day full of rain and fog that turned a field of dreams into one of puddles couldn't stop the Jefferson Falcons softball team from keeping its eyes on the ultimate prize.
And so it did, filling a stat sheet to the fullest en route to shutting out number 14 seed Demarest Tuesday afternoon by a score of 8-0, according to nj.com.
The number 6 seed Falcons struck early, plating two runs in the bottom of the first inning, then padded its lead in the fifth inning with another two runs, and sealed the deal with a four-spot in the bottom of the sixth.
