Jefferson Girls Courting County Championship

Jefferson Lady Falcons  advanced to the semi-finals of the Morris County Tournament when they eked out a win Randolph, 37-35 on the basketball court.

With 13.3 seconds remaining and the game tied at 35 all, Heather Faasse hit the front end of a one-and-one to put the Falcons ahead 36-35. Seconds later she was at the foul line again and sank one of two free throws making the score 37-35.

Randolph had its chance to tie the game, missing a layup but getting fouled with just .4 seconds left. Randolph did not score on either foul shot.

Sarah Finnerty led the Falcon scoring effort with 10 points.
