Watershed Cabinet Hopefuls to Meet With Town Council

The governing body holds its regular meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Jefferson Township Council gathers for its regular meeting Wednesday at the municipal building, and high on its agenda is finding new members for the Rockaway River Watershed Cabinet.

The governing body has been seeking volunteers to apply to serve as its representatives on the Watershed Cabinet. As part of the council meeting, those who have applied will undergo interviews.

Also, the council's meeting agenda includes a discussion of 2013 Best Practices and resolutions for the body to consider. Among them, one proposed resolution would authorize the awarding of a "non-fair and open" contract for professonal realty appraisal services with Integra Realty Resources.

The meeting takes place Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at 1033 Weldon Road in Oak Ridge. Residents are welcome to attend and to offer input during the meeting's public portion.
