Local Non Profit Plans Events To Help Those In Need

Nothing is Impossible, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by the senior partners of the McGivney and Kluger law firm. Their mission is to provide temporary financial assistance to individuals and families following a catastrophic event so that they may be able to maintain their independence in the community. Feeling grateful for their successes, Chuck McGivney and Jeff Kluger made a pledge to, "Share with those who might fall through the cracks of society" in order to give a hand up to those who need it most. During the time that this nonprofit has been in existence, it has helped over 500 individuals, families and other nonprofit organizations, giving over $560,000 in assistance.

In order to help as many people in the community as possible, NII has partnered with other local non profits so that they can provide additional case management services to the applicants. With offices in Sparta and Florham Park, some examples of applicants in the community that they have helped are a family with a health crisis who had fallen behind in rent so that they could maintain living in their home. NII also stepped in to help an applicant who needed a handicap ramp built onto his home. Many times, funding is difficult to secure for applicants, and NII wants to help them stay in their homes and maintain their independence.

The non profit relies on donations from corporate partners, individuals, and fundraising events throughout the year. In March, their Third Annual Dinner and Comedy Show Benefit Night will take place at McKenna Hall in Sparta on March 25. Dinner will be catered by Dominick's Italian Restaurant and Robin Fox Comedy will provide the laughter. In June, they have planned a wine pairing event at a local winery. September and October, NII will host their annual golf event and Halloween Trick or Trot.
