Months-Long Overnight Lane Closures on Rt. 80 Start Monday
$12.8 million milling, paving work to begin on eastbound side, then will start on westbound side in the summer, DOT says.

A major New Jersey Department of Transportation project that will stretch for miles along Route 80 in Morris County is set to begin Monday, and will involve overnight lane closures for several months.
Beginning Monday night at 9 p.m., milling and paving on the heavily traveled roadway will be done by Della Pello Paving, Inc. and require two lanes on the eastbound side to close.
The project will span Ledgewood Avenue in Roxbury all the way to Cherry Hill Road in Parsippany, the DOT said.

From Monday through Thursday roads will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Friday nights into Saturday, roads will be closed from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The milling and paving is part of a $12.8 million resurfacing project. The east bound lanes are expected to be complete some time in the summer, at which time the westbound lanes will undergo the same work between the same locations. That portion of the project is expected to end sometime in the fall, the DOT said.
