Multiple Cars Stolen In Jefferson: Police Blotter

A BMW and an Altima were stolen from the same neighborhood.

JEFFERSON, NJ — Jefferson police investigated multiple crimes in October, including two car thefts in the same neighborhood. Read about their work here:

10/12/17, DWI, PO Johnson: John Wilson, 49 of Lake Hopatcong was observed operating his motor vehicle on Rt 181 and Espanong Rd and unable to maintain his lane. PO Johnson established probable cause to believe Mr. Wilson was operating his vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was placed under arrest and processed at Jefferson Township Police Headquarters. He was issued summons and released pending a court date.

10/19/17, Shoplifting, Florio : Joe Vasile, 26, of Oak Ridge, was arrested by PO Florio for Shoplifting at Ding Dong Deli. He was processed, issued complaint summons and released pending a court date.

10/21/17, Criminal Mischief to Vehicle, Cannarozzi: Holland Mountain Road. Damage caused to a vehicle. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

10/22/17, Theft of Vehicle, Florio: Unknown actor(s) took a 2013 Altima from the Lake Forest section of Lake Hopatcong. The vehicle was located on Route15 North by the 7.5 mile marker. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

10/22/17, Theft of Vehicle, Johnson: Unknown actor(s) took a 2016 BMW from the Lake Forest section of Lake Hopatcong. The vehicle was located in Newark. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
