N.J. Boy Dies While Attending Area Summer Camp
A New Jersey boy has died after falling ill at a Pennsylvania summer camp. Three others were hospitalized but released.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed a New Jersey boy died Monday while attending a Pennsylvania summer camp. The 11-year-old boy who died after falling ill at Nah-Jee-Wah in Milford has been identified by multiple sources as Daniel Beer of Norwood, N.J.
Recent reports published by The Morning Call and others say three other boys in the boy's cabin were also hospitalized due to stomach illness. The other boys have since been released, but the matter is still under investigation, according to a report by NJ.com.

A source with children who attend the camp said the three others were taken to the hospital to out of an abundance of caution. An infection specialist came to the camp and recommended that the three campers be taken to the emergency room and tested for infections. They were cleared and sent home, the source told Patch.
Leonard M. Robinson, executive director of NJY Camp, told NJ.com that Beer was treated for "gastrointestinal symptoms" Sunday night at the camp's infirmary and was taken to a hospital Monday morning when they got worse. He died Monday at 7:30 a.m.

A full autopsy report is pending, NBC New York reported.

The boy's death does not appear to be suspicious, according to law enforcement.
