Picatinny Arsenal Firing Saturday Morning Shots

The shots are ceremonial, but could be loud.

JEFFERSON, NJ— If you're not usually up by 10 a.m. on Saturdays you will be this one: Picatinny Arsenal will be firing five blank shots Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m.

The shots are to celebrate the first day of fishing in the state. No rounds will be used, and the shots are purely ceremonial.

The warning was issued so residents would be aware of the noise.
