Shoebox Parade on Jefferson Day
Operation Christmas Child volunteers will ride their float down the parade route and inform visitors on packing gift-filled shoeboxes.
Shoeboxes filled with gifts are shipped around the world each year to millions of children in need thanks to the many individuals, families and organizations who pack shoeboxes with school supplies, hygiene items and a toy to cherish. Jefferson Day visitors can stop by the Operation Christmas Child information table where area volunteers will be available to explain how you too can send a gift of Good News and great joy to one of these children. The 2016 shoebox National Collection Week is Monday, November 14 to Monday, November 21.
