Simon Kidgits Club Hosting Happy Haunting Halloween Party at Rockaway Townsquare
Rockaway Townsquare will offer children a safe place to take part in Halloween activities at its annual Monster Mash event

Rockaway Townsquare will offer Rockaway-area children a safe place to take part in Halloween activities as the Simon Kidgits Club® presents its annual Monster Mash event on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
“Rockaway Townsquare is the perfect place for families looking for Halloween entertainment in a fun, safe community environment,” said Maria Gregorius, area director of marketing and business development for Rockaway Townsquare. “Whether kids want to show off their new costume or take home some Halloween-themed crafts, there is an activity here for every ghost, witch, princess and werewolf. This Halloween event is a great addition to our year-long Simon Kidgits Club programs.”
This year, The Simon Kidgits Club will recognize October as Bully Prevention Month in association with ‘Malls & Retailers Unite Against Bullying,’ and their children’s property Captain McFinn.
Captain McFinn promotes social and emotional development in children through live virtual playdates, online games, apps and resources for parents and teachers.
At Rockaway Townsquare’s Monster Mash event, a free app called The Bully Free Zone will be available for download. The Bully Free Zone is an app released by Captain McFinn and features fun activities, a new McFinn cartoon, and a chance for families to win a free iPad Air.
Families who download the app can sign the Bully Free pledge and help spread the word about bully prevention. They can also spread kindness with one of the app’s featured activities, the Kindness Calendar. With the Kindness Calendar, children and parents receive prompts to complete acts of kindness. Once an act is complete, it is tracked in the Kindness feed. The more kind acts that are accomplished, the more badges children and their parents receive. This free app is a perfect and fun way for families to participate in Bully Prevention Month.
During Monster Mash, children can make their own necklace sand art; engage in candy corn bowling and a witch ring toss, for a chance to win prizes and treats; coloring activity; and enter the Camp Iliff Bat Cave. Event giveaways include plush balls, trick-or-treat bags and Kidgits Halloween tattoo.
The Simon Kidgits Club is a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8.
