No Injuries In Jefferson Fire, Police Say

The fire was put out by 10:30 a.m. Friday.

JEFFERSON, NJ — No one was injured in a Friday morning fire, Jefferson police said.

A detached garage at 248 Espanong Road caught fire around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning. By the time first responders got there, the only occupant was out of the garage, and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but appears to be connected to work happening in the garage, police said.

Jefferson Township Fire Company 1 & 2, Jefferson Rescue Squad, Mt. Arlington Fire, Sparta Fire, Picatinny Fire, and Morris County Hazmat all responded.
