Up To 2 Inches Of Rain, 33 MPH Wind Gusts Forecast For Hudson County

A storm is predicted through the wee hours of Mother's Day, with a total of up to 2 inches of rain, and wind gusts up to 33 MPH.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service is predicting that a storm system will bring rain from Friday through the wee hours of Mother's Day morning, including wind gusts Saturday of up to 33 m.p.h.

Two weeks ago, the county's most vulnerable corners flooded when a storm brought nearly 2 inches of rain.

Here is the forecast in detail:

  • Friday: Rain. High near 60. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Friday Night: Rain. Low around 50. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
  • Saturday: Rain. High near 53. Breezy, with a northeast wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: Rain, mainly before 3 a.m. Low around 46. Breezy. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Sunday: A 30 percent chance of rain before 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Breezy.
