My name is Océane Qian-Feuillat, I am a sophomore at McNair Academic High School, the current Miss New Jersey Teen USA, and the organizer of Stitch Don't Ditch, a sustainable fashion show raising awareness about the intersection of fashion and sustainability. My passion for circular fashion was sparked while studying sustainability abroad in Copenhagen, and I returned home inspired to bring that vision to life through this event.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, I am hosting Stitch Don't Ditch at 185 Hudson Street in Jersey City. It is a beautiful venue with a sweeping view of the New York City skyline. Doors open at 4pm, and the runway begins at 5pm. The event celebrates sustainable style while fundraising for Girls Inc. of New Jersey empowering underserved girls to be strong, smart, and bold, with all proceeds going directly toward their programs. There will be 35 models and 7 designers attending the show, all of whom are volunteering their time to help promote sustainable fashion and support the cause of Girls Inc. Miss New Mexico USA will also make a guest appearance at the show.
