25-Year-Old Man Killed, Woman Shot In Jersey City Heights: Prosecutor
Prosecutors are investigating a fatal shooting on Sunday night in Jersey City Heights, up the hill from Hoboken.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 25-year-old man died in a shooting in Jersey City Heights on Sunday night, and a woman and man were injured, prosecutors said on Monday.
Freddie Posey, 25, of Jersey City, was pronounced dead shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
A 30-year-old Jersey City woman was treated for an injury that is not considered life threatening, prosecutors said. A third victim, a 24-year-old Jersey City man, was privately brought to University Hospital in Newark for a non-life threatening injury, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of shots fired in the area of Central Avenue and Bowers Street.
Police found two victims with apparent gunshot wounds who were transported to Jersey City Medical Center, Posey and the female victim.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating this matter. No arrests have been made at this time.
