Greek Restaurant To Open Next Week In Downtown Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Greek restaurant on Jersey City's Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza now has an opening date.

Ela Greek Kitchen will open a few days after the city's July 4 extravaganza. The eatery has scheduled its ribbon-cutting for July 7 at 3:30 p.m., said the Historic Downtown SID.

The restaurant has been featuring, on its Instagram site, photos of kebabs, gyros, wraps, and more.

The Greek Kitchen replaces Sweetberry Bowls at 179 Newark Ave. It sits beside Milk and Cream Cereal Bar.

Jersey City has recently seen a slew of new business announcements, including a Target Store to open at the site of the soon-to-rise glass towers at One Journal Square. So what's next?
