New Effort To Find Missing Jersey City Teen In 'Deeply Concerning' Disappearance: Police
Jersey City police asked the public to share a new missing poster for a teen who disappeared last fall.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Police in Jersey City released a new poster for a missing teen girl this week, asking the press and public to share it in a renewed effort to bring her home.
Diamond Ruiz, 16, disappeared from Jersey City in September, police said.
"Diamond’s prolonged absence is deeply concerning," officials said last month.

A police spokesperson said Wednesday that they had updated the BOLO (Be On The Lookout) poster.

Police described Diamond as a 16-year-old Hispanic female, weighing 120 lbs. and approximately 4-foot-11.
They said she "is known to frequent the areas of Brown Place, Orient/MLK Drive, and Audubon Park."

A man identifying himself as Diamond's father wrote on Facebook earlier this year, "Baby girl I pray everyday [you're] ok and alive hoping you walk through my door ... It’s going on five long months without hearing that beautiful voice and seeing that pretty smile!"
