JERSEY CITY, NJ — With wind chills as low as 5 degrees on Tuesday and schools closed for two days in a row, some Jersey City residents expressed frustrations about snow removal efforts.

"They need to come and remove these snow banks so people can park and kids can get to school," wrote one woman on the city's page. "Something needs to be done quickly. This weekend we are looking at more snow."
Other residents said crosswalks in Jersey City Heights and Journal Square needed to be cleared.

The city said Tuesday afternoon that the county of Hudson was helping in the removal efforts. Jersey City is the largest city in Hudson County, at 22 square miles in area.
More than 11 inches of snow fell on Hudson County during the storm, said local officials, the biggest storm in five years.

"After doing this type of work for 40 years I can honestly say that no matter what you do, people will always complain that they were not done first," wrote one man on the city's page. "Keep working and drown out the noise."
The city confirmed that schools will reopen Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service said the city is under a cold weather advisory from midnight on Wednesday until 10 a.m. Wind chill values are expected to hover between 0 and -5 during that time, the NWS said.
There's a 50 percent chance of more snow this Sunday, the NWS said.
Amid freezing temperatures, residents were still able to get out and slide through the snow. See Jersey City worker Jennifer Brown's photos above and here.
